Recline
Recline is a body of work shot on the iphone application 'Hipstamatic'. In response to the application's nostalgic aesthetic and the 'framing' of the images with defined and charismatic borders, I became interested in exploring the boundaries of the frame, and the application of this capture device to contrived images rather than the typical snapshots of everyday life.
The garden bench has been populated with scenarios that play whimsically with the idea of rest and release.
